Vocational Rehabilitation
Get back to work
After a brain injury, stroke, or other neurological event, it is difficult to navigate returning to work. We take a personalized approach in helping you restore your independence and rehabilitate the cognitive and communication skills necessary to obtain and maintain work. The speech therapist will first complete a 90-minute initial evaluation and goal planning session with you and your family or job coach. Together you will decide on a treatment plan at a frequency you choose, targeting goals that are functional and meaningful to you. Therapy sessions are conducted for either 30, 45, or 60-minute increments. Vocational rehabilitation sessions can take place in the home, community, or workplace.
We can treat the following acquired conditions from stroke, brain injury, or other neurological conditions:
-Aphasia
-Apraxia of Speech
-Dysarthria
-Cognitive Deficit
-Memory Deficit
-Social Pragmatic Deficit
-Voice Disorders
-Dysphagia (Swallowing Difficulty)
